Job Summary
This posting is for several positions that will be filled at the Regulatory Analyst I level.
The Gas Regulatory Affairs Team is seeking analytical, detail-oriented individuals with a desire to learn about the natural gas industry. These positions will support Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)-regulated interstate pipelines across BHE GT&S’s regulated gas transmission, storage and LNG businesses. These positions’ responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Gathering and providing supporting information and documentation for federal regulatory filings and cost recovery (revenue) mechanisms.
Ensuring the timely submission of regulatory filings, tariffs, work papers, documentation, discovery responses, and compliance documents.
Monitoring and analyzing regulatory changes and ensuring compliance with regulatory commission directives.
Providing research, conducting analysis, and gathering information that may be presented to leadership, regulators, customers, internal / external counsel, and outside consultants.
May assist with the development and pricing of products and services.
This position will support FERC-regulated pipelines across BHE GT&S’s footprint. Travel to/from certain office locations may be required (primarily Richmond, VA and Salt Lake City, UT). This position may require up to 25% travel.
Winter 2020 graduates will be considered for this position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
0-2 years demonstrated knowledge of advanced financial, accounting, or economics concepts with a Bachelor's degree.
Outstanding analytical, computer, problem assessment, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to explain results of analysis and/or research.
Experience with Microsoft Excel.
Effective oral communication, written communication and presentation skills
The following knowledge, skills and abilities are preferred but not required:
Experience in state and/or federal regulatory and rate setting process, or equivalent experience.
General knowledge of interstate pipeline operations and services.
Education Requirements
Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, or Mathematics
Other disciplines may be considered if other requirements are met.
