  • Expertise in professional audio production and post-production workflows, audio formats, conversion, DAW Software (Pro Tools preferred), as well as sophisticated studio signal routing

  • Acute attention to detail, consistency and organization in data tracking and reporting, and in taking care of large quantities of audio files and data

  • Ability to learn tools and be creative in solutions for collaboration with production and post-production teams

  • Strong practical knowledge of Python coding skills

Description

Apple's in-house audio production studio is continually creating and running huge amounts of data that requires specific handling. This role is responsible for the acquiring, cataloging, integrity and security of all audio assets and databases. Additionally, as the studio team closely integrates with multiple engineering teams, there must be compatible workflows, pipelines, and tools that enable and promote efficiency and automation where possible. A top candidate in this position will have sharp analytical skills, experience in professional audio production environments, and the ability to navigate the command line, running and debugging scripts written in python, using version control software (e.g. Git), and writing regular expressions. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: - Preparation, quality assurance, delivery, tracking, and archiving of all deliverable files, including final audio mixes. - Management and maintenance of a centralized database - On-site and remote DAW and Studio support for Sound Editors, Recording Engineers, and other production team members - Set-up, maintenance, and upgrades of Studio Equipment. - Install, configure and maintain up to date hardware and software components to ensure usability across the studio - Designing, installing, testing and maintaining in-house (as well as 3rd party) software tools.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Audio Production, Engineering, or similar; or equivalent experience

  • You will join a team that is responsible for creating and supervising synthesized voices used in many increasing areas of the customer experience at Apple. You will be responsible for the specific handling of and access to datasets used in the creation of synthesized voices and be encouraged to refine processes and work to meet the multifaceted needs of engineering partner teams.
