Job Summary
BHE GT&S has an exciting opportunity in our Compression Services team as an Associate Gas Computer & Data Support Analyst or Gas Computer & Data Support Analyst commensurate on selected candidate's skills. This position can be located in any of our three locations, Bridgeport WV, Delmont, PA or Sabinsville PA.
As an Associate Gas Computer & Data Support Analyst or Gas Computer Data & Support Analyst, commensurate on your skills, you will assist in providing technical support for data acquisition, reporting systems, and/or GIS systems to operations and end users. Assists in performing system design work, testing, debugging, and maintaining complex system programs. Creates, edits, analyzes, and manages data. Assists in maintaining and supporting specialized computer and data systems. Learns to design processes for data collection and data integration. Assists in integrating data from multiple sources into databases and systems. Maintains and supports complex maintenance management systems. Conducts data analysis to identify the root causes of issues. Provides detailed data and reports.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
Associate Gas Computer & Data Support Analyst:
0-2 years directly-related experience.
Knowledge of related applications and databases.
Proficiency in programming and or other information technology disciplines.
If supporting GIS systems, knowledge of Geographic Information Systems.
Strong computer skills. Demonstrated competency in logical and analytical thinking.
Ability to perform in-depth data analysis.
Ability to diagnose and offer guidance on hardware, network and data issues and/or questions.
Conceptual thinking and reasoning abilities.
Ability to collect accurate data, analyze problems, and develop solutions.
Gas Computer & Data Support Analyst:
At least 3 years directly-related experience.
Experience in the adaptation to, and the application of, rapidly-changing technology based to business needs.
Full knowledge of related applications and databases.
Proficiency in programming and/or other information technology disciplines.
If supporting GIS systems, knowledge of Geographic Information Systems.
Strong computer skills.
Demonstrated competency in logical and analytical thinking.
Ability to perform in-depth data analysis.
Ability to diagnose and offer guidance on hardware, network, and data issues.
Conceptual thinking and reasoning abilities.
Ability to collect accurate data, analyze problems, and develop solutions
Concern for quality, high standards, teamwork, and safety.
Ability to work independently.
Education Requirements
Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
Disciplines: Preferred: Computer Information Systems; Information Technology
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
