Job Summary

This position is responsible for supervising employees and contractors in Dominion Energy (North Carolina and South Carolina) that support the overall GIS technology and data in Gas Distribution’s GIS software. Schedules, assigns and monitors the work of employees and contractors. Review contractor expenses to ensure accurate time and charges. Ensures proper work methods are applied and safety precautions are followed. Resolve customer complaints. Advises and assists in technical training and development of employees. Utilization of GIS software, compliance systems and SAP applications. Monitors budgets, goals and employee productivity.

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Additional responsibilities may include:• Manage GIS data for DENC and DESC.• Develop and implement tactical and strategic planning, forecasting, budgets, staffing, resources, and operations to meet short- and long-term objectives and customer needs in a timely, accurate and cost-effective manner.• Provide strategic oversight of the development, implementation, and deployment of GIS software, utilizing the latest ESRI, Oracle, iOS, SAP, IBM and Microsoft technologies, and GIS Editing and AutoCAD Drafting functions.• Appraise and resolve unusual or difficult customer or functional inquiries by working cross functionally with business units.• Serves as the business liaison with key internal stakeholders to ensure overall objectives are successfully met.• Establish a good working relationship with team members and department contacts in order to maintain and continuously strive to improve the level of overall service being provided.• Establish metrics that meet or exceed customer and Company goals and objectives while ensuring adherence to department policy and procedure.

This position will be located in either North Carolina or South Carolina (various office locations are acceptable).

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:• Bachelor’s and 3+ years directly related experience• Associate’s and 5+ years directly related experience• High school and 7+ years directly related experience

• Military service members and veterans with ranks from E3-E5, W1-W2, or O1-O3 plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined (above / below).

• Knowledge of pipeline distribution system; construction work methods; maintenance and repair; operations guidelines; cost analysis; customer service; essential computer skills.• Knowledge of regulatory compliance at Federal and State levels• Skills: leadership; contract interpretation; interpersonal; strong verbal and written communication; project and time management; organizing.• Abilities: teaming; motivate employees; decision making; handle constantly changing and emerging priorities; schedule and prioritize work.

Education Requirements

Education Level: Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associate , Disciplines: Preferred: Business,Engineering,Engineering Technology , Other Education: Business, Engineering, Engineering Technology
