Job Description
Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) on materials, manufactured items, or components. Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography, and magnetic particle. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations.
This position is to support New Construction Carriers on day shift.
Basic Qualifications
Associates or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience. High school diploma or the equivalent with 4 or more years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Three years Shipbuilding Trades experience or military training and experience are preferred.
