IT INTERN Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi, United States Date: Nov 30, 2020 Job DescriptionThe Huntington Ingalls Industries Corporate Office will be offering 2021 summer internships. Students will have the opportunity to work 30 hours a week for 8 consecutive weeks during the summer months on a variety of assignments related to their major. Responsibilities will include the following: *Intern will assist with various special projects assignments for Enterprise Cybersecurity and IT programs to address cost, schedule, and risk for IT investments. *Research and provide recommended solutions to streamline and automate various Cyber and IT processes that includes data analytics/visualization for: *Cybersecurity operational metrics andndash; vulnerabilities, phishing, incidents *Investment portfolio dashboard andndash; cost, schedule etc. *Risk Management andndash; risk register and mitigation analysis, mapped to investments/capabilities *Remote Workforce Metrics andndash; internet bandwidth, remote workers, etc. Basic QualificationsInternship candidate must be at least 18 years of age before the start of the summer intern program (Mid-May), enrolled in a bachelor's degree program that supports the company's business requirements i.e. Information Technology, Cybersecurity or Computer Science, and is currently attending a 4-year college or university and completed at least one year of course work by May 2021. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required and unofficial transcripts must be uploaded to profile at the time of application. Candidates must attend a 4-year college/university (undergraduate or graduate program) in the fall following the internship.
