You’ll work with people across Microsoft to drive improvements, while working closely with customers to define and deliver solutions that result in market-leading innovation.

You need to be a positive influencer across diverse teams, effectively rally support for your initiatives, and help deeply technical teams create simple solutions to meet your program goals. You will be responsible for handling business escalations with a data-driven approach to build trust with engineers and senior leaders. As a technical program manager on this security team, you will be responsible for a set of long-term security outcomes.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day job responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying functional and technical requirements collectinginputsfrom business, security, and technical teams andcustomers.

  • Building technical designs and program plans that strengthenthe broaderMicrosoft security and compliancestrategy.

  • Working across teams at Microsoft to refine your plans and obtain buy-in.

  • Executing the program, providing statustoengineers, senior leaders, and senior executives on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience working through a completeenterprisesoftware product cycle (from initial design through post-release maintenance.)

  • High tolerance for ambiguity and change.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Abilityto be strategic,whilealso drivingtactics and execution as needed.

  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, including presentation skills.

  • Strong track record of self-directed execution.

  • Strong track record of informingand drivingdecisions through quantitative and qualitative dataand metrics.

  • Abilityto consider upstream and downstream process impacts and implications.

  • Abilityto establish and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

  • 8+ years of product management, program management, and project management experience.

  • Experience with or subject-matter-expertise in security concepts and technologies, for example, identity, authentication, threat protection, data encryption, rights management, or loss prevention.

  • Experience with OKRs.

  • Experience working withmarketing and PR to guide product messaging and positioning in the marketplace.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
